THE BEGINNING

Kenton Black was founded by directors Aaron Crabtree and Nick Fox.

2008

Kenton Black establish themselves with key clients and conclude first years trading as a permanent civil engineering specialist recruiter of choice.

2009

As the green shoots of recovery start to appear in the construction industry, Kenton Black Directors develop a business plan to diversify into new market sectors, creating an all encompassing construction recruitment firm dealing with Permanent placements, Executive Search and White and Blue Collar Temps.

2012

Due to growth and successful ventures into new market sectors, Kenton Black moves to new, bigger offices in order to house 40+ dedicated and experienced consultants.

2015

Kenton Black Continues to hire ambitious and talented individuals and launches 'Client' focussed team to specialise in Consulting and Private Practice Markets. Plans to open another office to cater to high demand in the South East are put into action.

2017

Recognised as both a client and candidate friendly recruiter of choice, best to work with, best to work for, with a strong regional presence. Growth into new market sectors and expansion.

    I began my recruitment career 6 years ago, I spent 2 years with a large corporate recruiter during which I progressed from trainee level through the ranks to senior consultant.  I then joined a boutique search consultancy for 3 years specialising in commercial placements within the civil engineering sector (both mid to senior level appointments).

    I have now been with Kenton Black for just approaching 3 years, I joined the business as a Senior Consultant and my role has progressed to principal consultant.

    Working at Kenton Black has allowed me to enjoy a great team environment, unlike anything and anywhere that I have previously seen.  I have been allowed autonomy to produce revenue and develop the Kenton Black client base further with a focus on senior level appointments. Whilst working at Kenton Black I have been challenged and rewarded, the business has proven to be a market leader from both clients and staff alike.

    The rewards here are great, if you work hard and develop yourself you can easily achieve your goals. I am very happy to say that this year’s successes have allowed me to buy two new cars, one for me and one for my mum!

    My goals for the future at Kenton Black are to continue to work as a Principal Consultant with the view of becoming a Team Leader very soon.

    I have been working at Kenton Black since March 2013.  I had recently graduated from University with a degree in Sports Management and was working as a football coach.

    I wanted a career that could offer real progression, a positive working environment, and the genuine ability to earn really well.  For me the team ethic and earning potential with Kenton Black was the motivator for joining the business and I’m proud to say that my hard work has paid off.  I interviewed with a lot of construction recruitment companies before making my decision and I know that the support, planning and leadership here has helped me to develop professionally and personally.

    I have been promoted twice during my time at Kenton Black from Trainee Consultant to the level of Senior Consultant. I recently bought a country property, something I could never have foreseen in such a short space of time since starting with the company.

    My goals for the future at Kenton Black are to continue my progression whether it be towards Principal Consultant or Team Leader, further increasing the business wider aspirations and my own.

    For fun, I run the Kenton Black 5 a side team and have always been a keen and active participant in all our extracurricular challenges that Kenton Black has undertaken.

    I am very proud to have recently joined the team here at Kenton Black.  My career has been within construction recruitment for 5 years and I have always been focussed on the management of a trades and labour desk.  

    Since beginning my recruitment career I have enjoyed the fast pace and ever changing type of work that I undertake and I finally feel that I have found a business that matches my aspiration, my professional outlook and my desire to build great long lasting working relationships with clients whilst maximising my earning potential.

    My goals for the future are to keep building the team and make sure that our revenue production remains strong and consistent, I’m planning right now to sustain my future for years to come.
