A Blackpool based manufacturing organisation have partnered with Kenton Black Finance as they look to strengthen their finance team by appointing a Trainee Management Accountant. This is a newly created role following a period of significant growth in turnover and market share. Established for 30+ years, the business form part of a large multinational group of companies which remains family owned and there is further growth forecasted.
This is an excellent springboard opportunity for somebody with transactional accounting experience who is looking to build on these skills through gaining hands on exposure across management accounts and month end activities.
Your New Role as Trainee Management Accountant:
As Trainee Management Accountant, you will work in a friendly team of 6-7 finance staff and you will receive appropriate levels of training, support and guidance from a well-experienced Management Accountant. You will enjoy a diverse and hands on position with specific duties including:
• Assisting the Management Accountant with the preparation of month end management accounts
• Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations including inter company balances
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Help in the development and improvements of existing systems and processes
• Providing support across purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control as required
• Involvement in various key projects including an upcoming ERP implementation
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
This position is well suited to a career driven individual who is AAT qualified or actively studying, or who has already started CIMA/ACCA (a comprehensive study package will be available). You will already have good grounding exposure to transactional accounting processes, and be keen to further progress within a finance function. Strong Excel skills are required, and knowledge of ERP/finance systems is desirable. Whilst not essential, experience within a manufacturing setting is advantageous and you will be a strong communicator with good interpersonal skills as you will be required to communicate with other finance and non-finance staff within the business.
