Site Manager – Regional House Builder – £45k

Our client is a privately-owned construction company who specialise within the Residential sector, building homes and apartments for a range of clients as well as offering a private sale element.

Based out of Cannock the business operates on a regional basis and are growing fast which has created an exciting opportunity for a site manager within the business.

The ultimate objective of the role is to establish and manage the site team and external sub-contractors on each development from the start of the project through to final adoption / handover.

The right candidate will be:
• Attending regular site meetings with subcontractors, trades, in-house technical and commercial representatives.
• Maintaining quality control and safety procedures ensuring high standards are met.
• Conducting regular site safety checks, inducting new site operatives and reviewing Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
• Ensuring the project runs to programme and to budget.
• Build in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
• Calling off and coordinating materials and deliveries onsite.
• Liaising with NHBC and authorities

The right candidate will have:
• Excellent Communication Skills
• SMSTS, CSCS, First aid card holder
• Experience in a construction management role for a residential contractor or housing developer
• A proven track record overseeing new build housing development from start to finish
• Full understanding of traditional building techniques and up to date knowledge of building regs. and NHBC standards
• Commutable to Cannock
• Longevity of service for a like-minded business (this role will not be suitable for freelance professionals
