Job Description

Site Manager required for 12 months minimum term in Birmingham. Site Manager will have a demonstrable working history of delivering high value projects. Roles and responsibilities will typically include;
• Controlling site based activities by management of multiple trade sub-contractors
• Organising and chairing regular site progress meetings, ensuring the Project Manager is updated and issues addressed
• Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with current method statements and risk assessments
• Overseeing the long term and short term programming, sequencing and supervision of works on site
• Reading and understanding all relevant current drawings relating to their area of works and assess/advise on build-ability and product selection
• Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety protocols
• Advising Project and Commercial Manager of any cost/program implications
• Working closely with site teams to ensure coordination of works, whilst remaining relationship focused; understanding the importance of developing key client, trade and subcontractor relationships, whilst providing practical solutions to complex problems

The successful candidate will have;
• Knowledge of construction projects’ legal framework, e.g. safety regulations, statutory requirements, building regulations and environmental legislation logistics planning
• Good commercial awareness and communication skills
• The ability to undertake quality assurance work and the supervision / checking accuracy of the work of sub-contractors
• The ability to assess technical drawings and ensure that they contain sufficient and accurate information
• Be able to complete inspection and test plans
