CIVILS SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR
HIGHWAYS PROJECT – HIGHLY REPUTABLE COMPANY

Due to recent award of a prestigious earthworks contract, they are now looking to add a Senior Quantity Surveyor to their highly effective and hardworking Contracting team. This will be working with a Joint Venture of two market leading Tier 1 Main Contractors alongside their public-sector client who leads in highways and infrastructure, on a £35M scheme.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Financial control of Major Highways project from Pre- Construction to completion
• To oversee and manage the preparation of cost plans
• Monitor project budget and pro-actively manage any changes
• Managing sub- contractor accounts, final account settlements of the project and support the delivery team close out report
• Pro-actively manage any commercial disputes or claims
• Ensure consistent and accurate forecasting
• Responsible for preparing client reports as well as reviewing commercial situations and advising client accordingly
• The negotiation and finalisation of sub- contract agreements
• Working closely with the project Construction Manager in improving and implementing new processes and procedures
• Promote and encourage effective teamwork and pro-actively support and develop commercial and contractual awareness
• Promote and maintain company Health & Safety policies and procedures

Qualifications/Background:
• Preferably BSc degree qualified (Quantity Surveying)
• Previous managing surveyor role
• Minimum of 8 years post graduate experience
• Computer literate – Word, Excel, MS Project, Conquest or similar estimating packages
• Experience in NEC3/JCT/ICE forms of contract
