Kenton Black Finance have partnered with a well-known brand in Preston, which are regarded as a market leader in the niche sector in which they operate. Due to significant business growth and exciting future plans, they are looking to strengthen their finance function and a newly created Management Accountant position has become available. Your new role as Management Accountant:
As Management Accountant, you will report to the Financial Controller and enjoy a diverse role which offers many technical and commercial accounting responsibilities. You will produce timely management accounts including commentary and analysis; balance sheet reconciliations; accruals, prepayments and journals; VAT returns; assist the FC with the production of budgets and forecasts; and support with statutory accounts production. You will also be a key player in a number of upcoming projects including system developments, cost saving initiatives and the introduction of a new business unit within the next 12 months.
Once you are established in this role, it is expected that you will take on staff management responsibilities, overseeing a team of 2-3 transactional finance staff, being responsible for their training and development.
Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:
To be considered, you must demonstrate a logical career path to date and be experienced in management accounts production and month end routine. Ideally you will be fully CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or approaching full qualification, however my client is also welcoming applications from candidates who are qualified to this level by experience. It is key that you are a strong systems user with good Excel ability, comfortable handling and manipulating large data volumes. You will be a strong communicator, with the confidence to present key financial findings to Senior Management and budget holders.
