Job Description

Are you an experience Health, Safety, Environment and Quality professional looking for a new challenge with a growing and reputable company? You have an exciting opportunity to join a reputable civil engineering contractor operating across the Telecoms and Energy sectors as Senior HSEQ Manager. Due to the nature of the projects involved, you will have demonstrable experience of Energy/Utilities/Civils environments and mitigating the risk in these environments across the country.

Reporting into the HSEQ Director you will be:

• Actively promoting the HSQE Vision, delivering against the Strategic Action Plan to drive continuous improvement and a positive Health & Safety culture
• Promoting and supporting the requirements of the HSQE Management System, ensuring compliance with company procedures and external Customer standards
• Managing the preparation and undertaking of HSQE audits, Inspections and calibrations for Company related activities by the HSQE department
• Completing and distributing relevant audit, Inspections and calibrations reports
• Manage supplier and sub-contractor reviews via inspection, audit of records and engagement sessions


Knowledge of safety, health & environmental legislation and current construction practices is key. You will also be:

• Dynamic and personable
• Able to engage with site teams with safety and health issues
• Able to mentor and manage teams
• Be able to communicate and use interpersonal skill at all levels of the organisation to establish a positive behavioural safety culture
• Strong experience working conducting accident investigations
• Driven and autonomous
• Health & Safety Diploma-qualified
• Experienced in Civils, Utilities and Energy projects
