My client, a leading Construction Consultancy is currently recruiting for a Principal Designer to join their close-knit team on a permanent basis. This role offers some flexibility, but ideally, you will live in the Slough area. This role will involve travel across the South East. The main purpose of the Principal Designer role is to provide Principal Designer support to clients across the UK. Projects include sheds, mixed-use commercial & university works. Project values are £60m+.
You will plan, monitor, and coordinate health and safety risks in the design phase of pre-phase construction projects and advise clients on all H&S and CDM regulations. Alongside this, you will carry out site inspections & audits and ensure that all Health & Safety documentation is fully compliant with current legislation.
Design risk management experience
A strong background in construction with previous experience working as a PD
Ensure projects comply with CDM 2015, this is through involvement throughout the design phase and the start of projects
Assist the client in construction site safety and design (Architecture, Engineering, Surveying etc.)
NEBOSH National General/Construction Health and Safety certificate, or equivalent
