Kenton Black Finance are delighted to be working in partnership with a innovative manufacturing company who provide a their services to wide range of industries and have in excess of 25 years as market leaders. Based in Chorley, our client is looking to recruit a Senior Credit Controller to join an existing finance function. This will be a varied and rewarding role and successful candidate will join a friendly and supportive team of six.

Your new role as a Credit Control Administrator:

As the Senior Credit Controller you will report into the Finance Manager, this will be a stand alone role from a Credit Control perspective, however you will join an existing finance team. The purpose of your role as a Senior Credit Controller will be to ensure all debts are chased and collect via phone, letter or email within a timely manner, working to targets and maintaining excellent relationships.

Working Hours/ Days:    Full time, Mon – Fri.  



Day to day duties:

  • Credit control
  • Sales ledger
  • Reconciliations via Sage
  • Banking weekly
  • Working to targets
  • Taking and allocating payments
  • Producing daily, weekly and monthly reports as required
  • Maintenance and improvement of the credit control systems
  • Liaising with both the FD and Finance Manager regarding any escalations
  • Managing complex queries, issues and resolving to satisfaction for all parties
  • Liaising with internal departmental managers to manage queries
  • Regular review of customer accounts
  • Assisting the purchase ledger function ensuring accuracy at all times
  • Providing general transactional accounts cover during holidays or sickness
 


Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:


 


 
  • Ability to work to targets and strict deadlines
  • Experience in the preparation of reports
  • Strong IT skills
  • Excellent ability to forge solid working relationships both internally and externally
  • Flexibility and the ability to make improvements when necessary
