Kenton Black Finance have collaborated with a well-respected and established Company in the Ormskirk area. This business are a leader in their industry and have seen continued growth throughout the last year. In order to meet the needs of their ever growing workforce, they are recruiting for a Payroll Assistant to join them on a 6 to 12 month contract. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and experienced Payroller looking for their next challenge.
Your New Role as the Payroll Assistant:
As the Payroll Assistant, you will report directly to the Payroll Manager, where you will process the payroll for all weekly paid employees (circa 350). You will collate all timesheets for weekly paid employees on all relevant companies, calculate and process furlough payments and calculate/monitor any sickness and maternity/paternity pay. In addition to hours paid, you will calculate and process any additional pay items applicable (e.g. bonus, fares and travel). You shall check payslips and send payments for processing, dealing with employee queries, submit Automatic-Enrolment Pension Files and liaise with HR regarding employees. In addition, you will process any starters/leavers, P45s, P60s and administer and monitor employee tax codes/HMRC notifications.
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
To be considered, you must be possess at least 2 years experience in a similar role. Ideally you will have intermediate Excel and finance software skills, excellent communication abilities and impeccable attention to detail skills. In addition, you will be capable of problem solving, possess analytical skills and capable of working well under pressure. You must be able to demonstrate that you are well-organised, able to work to strict deadlines and able to to discrete when required.
