An international manufacturing organisation in Cumbria have partnered with Kenton Black Finance to recruit a Management Accountant. Employing 4,000+ staff globally, this UK site (approx. 150 employees) is experiencing a period of change and growth and this pivotal Management Accountant position will take ownership of management accounting activities and month end routine, whilst being a key player in various projects and decision making.
This is a permanent opportunity, however my client is also welcoming applicants who are available at short notice to support on an interim basis whilst they go through the permanent recruitment process. A competitive daily pay rate will be offered to the successful interim candidate.
Your New Role as Finance Manager:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, as Management Accountant you will work within a friendly team of 6-7 accounts staff in a varied and hands on position. With appropriate levels of support and guidance from the Finance Manager, specific duties will include:
• Production of the monthly management accounts pack
• Supporting with statutory accounts production, liaising with external auditors as required
• Supporting with cash flow management
• Assisting with the production of budgets and forecasts
• VAT returns
• Posting accruals, prepayments and journals
• Balance sheet reconciliations
You will also be involved in various projects including an upcoming ERP implementation, M&A activity and process improvement initiatives.
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
To be considered for this Management Accountant position, you will be experienced in a similar level position with competency in the month end process. CIMA/ACCA qualification is ideal but consideration will be given to applicants who are qualified to an appropriate level by experience. Knowledge of the manufacturing sector is hugely desirable and you will be a strong communicator, comfortable liaising with various stakeholders including Board level and Senior Management. Additionally, you will have a forward thinking working approach with the proven ability to identify and implement improved methods of working.
