Kenton Black Finance have partnered with a widely recognised business on the outskirts of Preston to support with the recruitment of a Management Accountant. This award winning business has been established for 20+ years and have a diverse and growing customer base.
This position is on a contract basis of 12 months to cover maternity leave but a longer-term requirement may become available. This is an office based position but a hybrid working arrangement is available.
Your New Role as Management Accountant:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, as Management Accountant you will enjoy a varied and hands on position with duties including:
• Management accounts preparation
• Assisting with year end requirements
• Monitoring cash flow
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Posting accruals, prepayments and journals
• Maintaining the fixed asset registers
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Overseeing the transactional accounting work of the Accounts Assistant, providing support to enable their development
Alongside daily and weekly routine duties as required within the finance function, you will also be required to work cross-functionally throughout the business in a people facing capacity, building relationships with various stakeholders to deliver and advise on meaningful financial information.
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
To be considered, you will be proven in a similar level finance position with good exposure to the management accounts pack and month end routine. Part qualification in CIMA/ACCA/ACA is desirable and you will be able to demonstrate strong systems including MS Excel and ideally knowledge of Xero. Comfortable working in a fast-paced/high volume finance environment, you will be able to quickly adapt to new systems and processes with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Reward on Offer:
This role is available for an immediate start, however my client is also considering applicants who are on 4 weeks’ notice. This is a full time position (37.5 hours) – flexibility around working hours will be considered and a hybrid working arrangement is available to enable remote working for part of the week.
