A newly created Group Finance Manager position has become available within a successful manufacturing Group in the Kendal area. Your New role as Group Finance Manager:
This position acts as a no.2 finance role to the Head of Finance and involves the provision of a combination of technical and commercial accounting input to the Group and its subsidiaries. Specific duties will include:
• Management of the Group finance team and facilitating their development
• Responsibility for the Group’s consolidated budgeting and forecasting process
• Overseeing consolidated monthly management reporting
• Leading the year end statutory accounting process
• Cash and treasury management
• VAT compliance and reporting
• Manage and enhance all existing systems
• Provide strategic support to support business decisions, including scenario modelling and analysing growth opportunities
• Involvement in ad hoc projects as required
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
To be considered, you must be fully qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) and experience within the manufacturing sector is advantageous. You will be technically strong with the proven ability to provide strategic decision making support to Directors. You will be a strong leader and driven to deliver, with the ability to motivate others. You will demonstrate good systems skills including Excel, ERP systems and bespoke manufacturing costing systems.
Salary and Reward on Offer:
A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered to the successful candidate which includes 25 days annual leave entitlement + bank holidays; Group Personal Pension Plan; bonus schemes (up to 20%); and flexibility around working hours with some remote working.
This is a pivotal appointment which offers excellent autonomy with many areas to add value to the finance function and wider Group. You will work with a high calibre Head of Finance who will act as a mentor and enable a smooth transition into your new role.
