General Foreman required for this housing developer to work on their residential groundworks schemes, throughout the Gloucestershire and surrounding area.

With a strong pipeline of work ahead of them in locations within 1½ hours travelling time of their head office in near Ross-on-Wye they are now looking to strengthen their team with talented individuals. They are seeking to appoint an experienced and commercially astute Groundworks Foreman to work as part of the Civils team on our housing developments.

A credible construction professional with new residential development experience.

Ideally you will reside within a reasonable commuting distance or be willing to relocate.

Main responsibilities:

Managing the workforce efficiently.
Ensuring the correct utilisation of plant.
Material scheduling and call off.
Management of subcontract works relevant to civils operation.
Setting out of minor works.
Raising technical queries.
Maintaining records of site works
Management of health and safety of workforce.
Liaison with Site Managers and clients to ensure the smooth running of the site.

Requirement

A good knowledge of groundworks within the building industry with 5 years’ experience including residential groundworks schemes.
Up to date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation
CSCS Card.
Valid First Aid at Work certificate.
Ability to provide and maintain setting out and dimensional control when required.
Demonstrate the right behaviours to ensure the culture is in line with their company values.

This position is full time and in return for an average 40 to 45 hour week you shall receive a competitive package including life insurance.

The salary will be £40,000-45,000 per annum or £200-250 per day as a guideline, this is negotiable depending on experience.
