Location: Ebbsfleet
Day Rate: Up to £375 per day (depending on experience)
Role: Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor
Duration: Minimum 12 months

Company:
My client is an award winning contractors with sites nationwide. They are looking to take on a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to be site based for a large project they are working on in Ebbsfleet. Due to the contractor being based in the North they are happy to take on a Freelance candidate for the duration of the project.

Previous Package procurement management experience is essential for this role.

Mixed-Use including Commercial and Residential

Location:
Ebbsfleet

Responsibilities:
Package procurement management.
Support the authorisation and submission of project variations.
To authorise the placement of contracts, subcontracts, material and plant orders.
Liaising closely with the Project Director and Site Managers.
Manage the commercial process of the assigned project to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts.
Provide your own expertise to contracts, to include the production and submission of valuations, claims, budget monitoring, and contract/work stream performance data.
Value work executed by sub-contractors and certify interim and final payments.
Maximise cash flow through the control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers.
Advising the team on legal and financial aspects to reduce the company's exposure to risk.
Reviewing the financial position with the team and producing monthly commercial reports.
Monitoring that all contractual obligations are met to avoid commercial consequences.


Person:
The successful Quantity Surveyor will have 10+ years experience and will have worked with Main Contractors in the Build Industry recently.
Holds the relevant qualifications (Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying desirable)
Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office in particular Excel
Excellent Communication skills both written and verbally
Must be an excellent organizer with proven time management skills
