A pivotal role in the continued success of the business, this position will provide scope to add real value in a vibrant, dynamic and versatile business based in the heart of East Lancashire.
Your new role as Finance Manager/Controller:
As Finance Manager/Controller you shall enjoy a varied role. Working closely with the senior management team to streamline and develop process and procedure you shall develop the month-end information to provide effective and meaningful financial reporting. Managing 1 member of staff you shall mentor across the department whilst delivering timely and accurate monthly/yearly accounting. A leader and member of the senior management team, you shall partner across the organisation in a rounded and rewarding No.1 role.
Main Role Duties:
• Project accounting across the finance function to develop, improve and enhance process and procedure
• Completion of Management Accounts with supporting commercial commentary
• Stakeholder engagement with business partnering across the organisation
• Management and development of staff
• Treasury management and management of all VAT, PAYE, corporation and other tax requirements
• Production of annual budgets and three year forecasts in partnership with the SMT
• Production of detailed financial reports and annual statutory accounting
Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:
To be considered you shall be part or fully CIMA /ACCA/ ACA qualified with strong technical skills and a proven track record of adding value in a management position. A natural leader who likes to mentor and develop staff, you shall have team supervision experience and be seeking a varied role which offers the opportunity to add value at a senior level. With experience of producing detailed and meaningful accounts both monthly/yearly you shall have excellent attention to detail, a proven ability to work under pressure and experience of working within a commercially driven environment.
