Reporting directly to the MD there is the opportunity to enhance process and procedure whilst adding value in a true business partnering role.

Your New Role As Financial Controller:

As Financial Controller you shall enjoy a varied role which offers many technical and commercial accounting duties. A hands-on role, working closely with the senior management team, you shall monitor and develop the small finance team and seek to enhance process across the function. As no.1 you shall be responsible for providing the detail at Month End and be responsible for financial analysis to provide query support across the various departments. You shall also provide support and direction to ensure the small finance team are producing accurate ledgers and ensure there is sufficient preparation to add value to the monthly management accounting.

Main Role Duties:
• Management of the finance team, 3 staff of various capability
• Responsible for the accurate production of ledgers and supporting analysis
• Full Preparation of monthly Management Accounts
• Presentation of Management Accounts to main stakeholders, including detailed reviews of potential cost saving activities
• Finance contact for audit, statutory accounts and corporation tax calculations
• VAT reporting
• Production and responsibility for staff payroll including holiday calculations and submission to external payroll provider
• Processing of final payroll payments
• Approval and processing of weekly payment runs
• Annual budget and monthly forecast preparation and presentation to the senior management team
• Weekly sales and cash forecasting

A truly rounded role you shall also gain exposure to the decision making process and add value through effective financial reporting and recommendations based on your finance knowledge and business acumen.

Experience & Qualifications Required To Apply:

To be considered you shall be CIMA /ACCA/ ACA qualified, or QBE in a similar role. With strong technical skills and a proven track record of adding value in a Financial Controller or Finance Manager position you shall have team supervision experience and be seeking a varied role which offers the opportunity to add value at a senior level. You shall be prepared to roll up your sleeves as this is a hands-on role. As No.1 you shall also be prepared to support the finance function and provide training to up-skill those already in post. With a strong ability to manipulate data you shall have strong Excel skills with excellent attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of an organisation.
