Kenton Black Finance have partnered with a national service orgainisation based in East Lancashire, who have business interests in both the property and retail sectors. In a period of high growth, with a successful track record they are adding talent in two separate areas of the business in the form of a finance manager to run independently in a group structure. Reporting to the Group Head Of Finance both roles will hold responsibility for the daily running of the finance department and juniors in the team. With the scope to develop process and procedure you will gain exposure to the wider group and have the opportunity to add value in a rounded and varied role.
Your new role as Finance Manager:
As Finance Manager you shall enjoy a varied role which offers many technical and commercial accounting duties. Working closely with the Head of Finance you shall enhance process and develop the team to establish timely and accurate monthly/yearly accounting. Managing a small team you shall spearhead change whilst ensuring that the monthly and yearly accounting requirements are fulfilled as well as meeting regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies.
Main Role Duties:
Manage and develop a finance team in a group structure
Completion of detailed Management Accounts and associated reporting for each of the entities in the group
Year-end accounting and support to the audit process
Balance Sheet Reconciliations and control accounting
Ongoing development of process and procedure
Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:
To be considered you shall have experience in a similar role. The business will consider both QBE of CIMA /ACCA/ ACA qualified candidates who have strong technical skills and a proven track record of adding value in a management accounting position. You shall have ambition and the ability to supervise effectively. Technically strong you will be able to demonstrate strong Excel skills and have a high level of competency in the use of accounting systems to enhance and develop internal reporting. With excellent attention to detail, a proven ability to work under pressure and with experience of working with stakeholders to drive business performance you shall be proficient at developing strong working relationships across an organisation.
