An manufacturing organisation in Cumbria have partnered with Kenton Black Finance to recruit a newly created Finance Manager position. Established for 50+ years’ this organisation is firmly rooted in their market and are recognised as global leaders.

The organisation is going through a period of significant change and this Finance Manager role has been designed to take ownership of day-to-day finance duties and contribute to the ongoing success of the business, including M&A activity.

This is a full time, permanent position and flexible working arrangements will be considered including a hybrid working arrangement to include 1-2 days remote working.

Your New Role as Finance Manager:

Reporting to the CFO, this Finance Manager acts as a strong number 2 finance position. You will be responsible for the management of purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control and treasury functions, leading a team of 5 finance staff. Duties will include:

• Staff management responsibility, training and development
• Production and review of the monthly management accounts pack
• Supporting with statutory accounts production, liaising with external auditors
• VAT returns
• Management of cash flow
• Management of company bank accounts
• Ensuring robust controls, making improvements where necessary
• Involvement in various projects including ERP system implementations and continual improvement initiatives

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

To be considered for this Finance Manager position, you will be ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified and proven in a similar level role, however consideration will be candidates who are QBE with sufficient experience. Knowledge of the manufacturing sector is hugely desirable and you will be a strong communicator, comfortable liaising with various stakeholders including Board level and Senior Management. With strong staff management skills, you will have a forward thinking working approach with the proven ability to identify and implement improved methods of working.
