Kenton Black Finance have partnered with a successful organisation in the Manchester area. This business are now seeking to appoint a Part-time Finance Assistant on a 6 month contract, working 20 hours per week. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and aspiring individual looking for their next step in the finance industry.
Your new role as the Finance Assistant:
As the Finance Assistant, you will report directly to the Director of Finance, where you will be raising purchase orders, processing invoices (matching, batching, and coding), carrying out bank reconciliations and reconciling control accounts. You will also be processing payroll – entering starters and leavers onto the system, processing overtime payments – only 10 staff in total. In addition, you will be carrying out accruals and prepayments – matching with stationery orders etc. You will be dealing with a high level of cashflow – knowing and reporting where income is coming from etc. Lastly, you will be covering for reception/ admin over lunches etc.
Experience & Qualifications required to apply:
To be considered, you must be possess at least 2 years experience in a similar role. Ideally you will have intermediate Excel and computer skills, excellent communication abilities and impeccable attention to detail skills. In addition, you will be capable of problem solving, possess analytical skills and capable of working well under pressure. You must be able to demonstrate that you are well-organised, able to work to strict deadlines and capable of being discrete when required.
Salary and Reward on offer:
You will be paid a competitive salary and given the opportunity to work alongside a knowledgeable team of finance professionals. In addition, the role will you require you to work out of the office but only during term times. The hours of work can be split over 3 to 5 days, as long as the core hours are worked.
