Commercial Groundworks

£65,000-£75,000 per annum plus package

Estimator required to join a rapidly expanding groundworks company, who specialise in commercial groundworks, to expand their Estimating Department, based near Uttoxeter.

Role

Producing customer quotations base on information provided by the customer.
Research and forecast the control of materials, tools plant and equipment for projects, through the production of budget sheets.
Prepare where required tender documentation, budget forecasts and other documentation specific to projects.
Communicate on various levels from employees to management, subcontractors to suppliers, customers to the general public.
Issue for Tender and/or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who are proposed to work on the construction project.
Liaise with the Client / Customer and other construction professionals.
Liaising with the Procurement Manager for the selection and sourcing of materials for tendering purposes.
Prepare necessary reports on projects, pre during and post construction.
Review of existing documentation, report and address areas requiring action.
Attend regular Estimating Meetings and prepare necessary documentation, reports and updates for discussion.
To undertake any other reasonable tasks in accordance with the estimating needs of the business.

Experience

Experience in Groundwork and Surfacing Estimating
Ability to read drawings and do take-offs to produce BoQs
Experience in Microsoft Excel and Word
Use of Estimating Software and Drawing Programmes
Good communication skills
Work well under pressure and to deadlines
