An excellent opportunity Quantity Surveyor required for a leading demolition contractor, based in their site in Birmingham.

This company has been established for 50 years after the company and an independent family business, who is the demolition contractor of choice for major companies in the industry. Their specialist services covering demolition, remediation, specialist cutting and engineering. Their head office is in the Midlands, from complex urban demolition to innovative diamond cutting solutions. As well as working on project nationally they also work internationally.

You will support the Director and the commercial team in the successful commercial and financial management of schemes from point of award through to final account.

Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for supporting the commercial manager and senior quantity surveyor managing costs with an end goal of maximising the project margin and ensuring delivery of payment whilst developing future client relationships.
Supporting and supervising trainee QS’s.

Measurement and valuation of demolition sites
Preparation of monthly applications for payments for allocated projects
Identification and pricing of variations to clients
Negotiation and agreement of variations

Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying
Experience of demolition schemes and this experience must have been gained whilst working for a demolition contractor.
As this is a permanent position, they are looking for an individual who can demonstrate stability of employment throughout their career.

Salary guideline will be £45,000-£55,000 per annum plus package, depending on qualifications, knowledge and experience, this is negotiable.
