Kenton Black Finance have partnered with a successful and market-leading business in the Bolton area. This business are expanding to meet the needs of their strong client base. They are therefore interviewing for a Credit Controller to join their already experienced team. This is the perfect opportunity for a motivated and aspiring individual looking for their next step in the Credit Control industry.
Your New Role as the Credit Controller:
As the Credit Controller, you will work closely with local authorities to undertake effective collection and obtain earliest possible settlement of accounts so as to improve cash flow. You will be processing Local Authority invoices and credit notes on a daily / monthly / termly basis, ensuring they are prepared in an accurate and timely manner. In addition, you will maintain and build relationships with customers to maximise early payment of termly and monthly invoices, work collaboratively with other departments to ensure excellent service and liaise with internal departments, schools and fostering agencies to resolve queries and manage these through to resolution. Lastly, you shall proactively engage with customers to deal with queries and to identify and manage the need for credit notes; and send Statements & copy invoices where requested.
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
To be considered, you must possess previous relevant experience working within a finance setting. You will have experience of processing invoices and payments within a financial system control environment. In addition, you will be highly numerate and accurate with handling financial data, possess a good level of Excel and have a professional positive and flexible attitude. You will be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, be able to work alone and tackle tasks proactively and show good initiative and take ownership of tasks or issues.
