You will be working for a small but very busy accountancy practice based in South Manchester who have been looking after a wide variety of clients both locally and nationally for over 50 years.
As a small practice they expect their staff to be flexible and very hands on. They recognise that the industry is changing and they are also changing the way they deliver services to their clients.
This is a mixed role where the successful individual will be able to manage their own portfolio of clients, and will be hands on with accounts preparation, bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT, and preparation of corporation tax returns.
They also expect you to be able to work under your own initiative whilst ensuring filing deadlines are met and building client relationships beyond a pure compliance, technical accounting role.
In addition to looking after your own portfolio you will also assist the Partners in looking after some of the larger clients, with a variety of accounting and business support tasks.
You will be ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience.
You will be a keen and capable Client Manager/ Senior Practice Accountant, used to delivering hands on accounts, tax and wider ranging services to varied clients.
You will be expected to have had a career background developed within the accountancy practice sector in small independent firms and ideally with a good working knowledge of accounting and Excel software in addition to IRIS and Xero to name but a few.
