Civils Site Engineer
£40,000 p/a with Company package
Crawley

My Client is a Market-leader within the Civil Engineering industry specialising in large infrastructure projects nationwide and with continued growth are looking for a Civils Site Engineer to join their Operations Division in Crawley. Working exclusively on a prestigious £10m framework delivering; drainage, earthworks, surfacing, roadworks and sub/structures packages responsibilities include:

Maintaining records of work completed and providing sketches/information from drawings and specifications for the use by the Foremen and Operatives.
Setting-out works using appropriate instruments to an acceptable level of accuracy regarding to the drawing, specification and site instructions.
Checking the accuracy of the setting out at all stages of construction.
Applying relevant information to make appropriate decisions which reflect key priorities and requirements.
Monitoring and auditing the quality of own and others' work and procedures, processes and legislation required.
Promoting Health & Safety awareness on-site.
Ensuring RAMS are completed for all aspects of works.
Reporting directly into Project Manager.
Managing commercial issues for elements of the works.
Supervising Junior Engineers and Subcontractors on-site.

Successful candidates will possess a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, valid CSCS card with First Aid and SSSTS (NRSWA and CAT & Genny tickets desirable). Previous experience of working within the Civil Engineering sector is essential twinned with a minimum of five years setting-out/site engineering for a Main/Regional Contractor.

Ideally candidates will hold a proven track record of completing large civil engineering projects on schedule and within budget and practical experience of managing and setting Subcontractors to work. Experience of computer programmes including CAD and Microsoft Office and an eye for detail and for quality of delivery is required.
