Civils Senior Engineer
£50,000 p/a plus Company package
Birmingham

My Client is a Market-leader within the Civil Engineering industry specialising in large highways infrastructure projects nationwide and with continued growth are looking for a Civils Senior Engineer with highways experience to join their Operational Division in Birmingham. Initially working for both Highways England and Local Authorities on highways/road schemes valued up to £50m with additional projects secured across the West Midlands region on long-term frameworks.

Duties will include:

On-site liaison with Client, Stakeholders, Suppliers and Consultants.
Implementing safety systems.
Ensuring all personnel are fully briefed and working in a safe manner.
Taking an active part in appropriate HSQE meetings.
Recording as-built records for inclusion in the Health and Safety files.
Identifying non-conformance and advise corrective actions.
Recording QA information as required.
Producing inspection requests.
Assisting team to identify any implications on cost of contract.
Providing value engineering solutions.
Undertaking engineering control across site.
Maintaining detailed diary and drawing register.
Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents of the contract.
Assisting in material take offs.
Detailing and reporting short-term programming.
Assisting the contract in achieving operational standards.
Producing permits to work.
Anticipating and resolve technical issues.
Assisting in the production of accurate and timely material reconciliations.
Acting as Company ambassador with suppliers, customers and the public.

Successful candidates will possess:

Safety Level 1 Course.
CITB Level 2 Safety Course SSSTS (Desirable).
CSCS (Black) Card.
Degree in Civil Engineering or (equivalent).
First Aid at Work.
NRSWA Supervisor accreditation.
CAT and Genny Training.
Extensive highways experience ideally with a Main Contractor.
IT literacy with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Word) and AutoCAD.
Ability to produce as-built records and drawings.
Knowledge of BIM and Microsoft Project.
