Civils Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
£45,000 p/a with package including; generous holiday allowance, healthcare, incentive scheme (based on Company profit), pension and Company car/allowance

My Client is an Market Leader in the Construction sector specialising in; Civil Engineering, Build, Rail and Stadia projects nationwide and with continued success are looking to recruit a Civils Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their Rail Division in Worcester. With a turnover in excess of +£500m the business has a number of live Rail schemes in the Midlands with additional projects secured across the region.

Initially working on a £15m project in Worcester and reporting directly into the Senior Quantity Surveyor, responsibilities include:

Subcontract procurement from initial enquiry to placement of Subcontract order.
Management of Groundworks package (drainage and kerbing).
Financial management of Subcontractor accounts from commencement on site to negotiation and agreement of final account.
Preparation of monthly application for payment to the Client and ensuring certification and payments are received on time.
Management of compensation events and early warnings.
Preparation of monthly cost value reconciliation report.
Preparation of monthly cost and value to complete forecast in conjunction with Site Manager.
Preparation of final accounts.
Develop supply chain relationships with suppliers and Subcontractors for the benefit of the framework and future contracts.

Successful candidates will possess a BSc degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent), extensive Civil Engineering/Rail experience working for either a Main or Regional Contractor. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), thorough knowledge of NEC, JCT and NR Forms of Contract and IT literacy are essential twinned with sound Commercial/Contractual acumen.
