Assistant Site Manager – Derby - £45k plus package

My client has a renowned reputation for not only building new homes of the highest quality and specification, but also planning and producing new property development schemes which enhance and even change the face of their surrounding environments. New bespoke house type styles are concepted and created for each development to respond visually to the surroundings in which they are situated, be that city town or country.
The successful candidate must have experience in new build/ bespoke housing and have a good eye for detail. The candidate should also have the ability to work accurately to deadlines to produce the continued high-quality work. You should have the ability to deal with both clients and sub-contractors in a professional and influential manner.

Reporting into the Site Manager and Contracts Manager you will be:

•Attending regular site meetings with subcontractors, trades, in-house technical and commercial representatives.
•Maintaining quality control and safety procedures ensuring high standards are met.
•Attending regular site safety checks, inducting new site operatives and reviewing Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
•Ensuring the project runs to programme and to budget.
•Liaising with NHBC and authorities.

To be suitable for this opportunity you must be able to demonstrate the following:

•An excellent communicator
•SMSTS, CSCS, 1st aid card holder
•Experience in a construction management role for a residential contractor or housing developer
•A proven track record overseeing new build housing developments from start to finish
•Full understanding of traditional building techniques and up to date knowledge of building regs. and NHBC standards
•Longevity of service for a like-minded business (this role is not suitable for freelance professionals)
