A large, global organisation in Kendal are strengthening their finance team by recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant. This is a newly created position due to organisational change and growth where opportunities for career progression will be available.
This is an ideal opportunity for somebody who is AAT qualified or studying a CIMA/ACCA looking for a rounded role to complement their qualifications, and study support will be available for the successful individual if required.
This is a full time position (37.5 hours) and flexible working options will be available (flexi-time/hybrid working).
Your New Role as Assistant Management Accountant:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, as Assistant Management Accountant you will be involved in the month end routine and monthly/quarterly reporting requirements. Duties will include posting accruals, prepayments and journals; balance sheet reconciliations; variance analysis; and supporting with internal and external audits. You will also gain exposure to multi-currencies with support from the Finance Manager.
As you become established within your role, you will gain more exposure to the management accounts pack, as well as budgeting and forecasting activities.
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
Ideally you will be AAT qualified or studying CIMA/ACCA, although applications are welcome from candidates who are not actively studying . With a forward thinking working approach, you will be used to a fast-paced finance environment with experience of working to tight deadlines. Experience within a product or service based organisation is desirable and you will have the ability to quickly pick up new accounting systems and processes. In addition, you will be a strong communicator as you will be required to liaise with various internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
