Speedy Holiday Cover Recruitment of Much Needed Site Supervisor
A Contracts Manager working for a key client of Kenton Black in the residential sector fell victim to a change in IT systems at the firm where he works. An oversight had meant that three of four Site Supervisors had somehow booked the same two weeks leave, and he was in desperate need of assistance. The business needed someone who could successfully cover two sites in the absence of permanent members of staff, but who also carried all the relevant qualifications and tickets to keep the site open.
Recognising that the role needed intense focus and a shortlist as soon as possible, Kenton Black suggested that a day be set aside the very next day to interview candidates and that the client should look at paying slightly above market rate in order to attract short term cover.
Kenton Black’s consultant was able to provide an initial shortlist the very same day, setting up three interviews for the following day. The supervisor started 48hrs after the phone call, and did a handover with the existing supervisors prior to their holiday.
The temporary candidate was offered a permanent position and also, Kenton Black’s trades and labour division (KB Trades) supplied all trades and labour to the site as a result.
